Originally developed in response to restrictive knife laws in England that prohibited the carry of one-hand-opening lock-blade knives, the UK Penknife was the trailblazer of Spydercos unique SLIPIT line of knives. These knives combine the defining features of our revolutionary CLIPIT platforma pocket clip and our Trademark Round Hole for one-handed openingwith the legal and social friendliness of a non-locking mechanism. This expression of the UK Penknife makes history again as the first non-locking member of our ultra-corrosion-resistant Salt Series. Its full-flat-ground, leaf-shaped blade is precision machined from CPM MagnaCut steela revolutionary particle metallurgy steel that offers an impressive balance of edge retention, toughness, and extreme corrosion resistance. The blade is available in both PlainEdge and SpyderEdge formats and is housed in a high-visibility yellow handle constructed with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales and a marine-grade backspacer and hardware. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip completes the package, ensuring this fearlessly corrosion-resistant cutting tool is both left and right-hand friendly.
