Genuine Smith TL-500 is a portable, lightweight Tag-A-Long oxy/acetylene cutting and welding outfit that is ready to go where you need it. Compact design stores easily for road travel or when not in use. Smith 30 series regulators provide efficient and dependable control of gasses. Torch handle and cutting attachment are nickel plated for improved corrosion resistance. High density polyethylene carrier is lightweight and durable. All kits includes reverse flow check valves for added safety. Complete operation and instruction manual included. * (Capacity with tips supplied in kits: cuts to 3/8″, welds to 1/8″)
Covered by Smith’s 25-year warranty on torch handle and cutting attachment. Regulators are covered by a 3-year warranty. NOTE: Use of tips not manufactured by Smith or repairs made with other than genuine Smith parts will void the warranty.
Features
Resilient Graf-Tite seat material protects tip seating areas from nicking to maintain positive seating. Requires less replacement than metal-to-metal seat designs. Compressible soft seats are practically indestructible and withstand extremely high temperatures, resulting in longer tip life.
Each tip is a precision engineered mixer for combining preheat oxygen and fuel gas to attain maximum efficiency. Adds resistance to flashback.
Just hand tighten After the first tightening with a wrench, only hand tightening is required to seat the tip, saving time when changing tips. Quick and easy tip changes encourage use of right tip for the job.
Allows cleaning from back of tip.
Gases are kept separated, eliminating mixing tube burnout. Our thick-wall, high-capacity stainless steel tubes provide high gas flow and superior strength.
Allows smooth piercing and keyhole free starts and restarts.
Provides positive gas seal, and allows rotation.
Threads are protected from damage if the torch is dropped, eliminating costly torch repair, replacement or downtime.
Tube-within-a-tube design provides strength while reducing weight. Internal tube is silver brazed for extra protection, strength and leak resistance.
Special PTFE packing provides a gas-tight seal while allowing the drag to be adjusted to the individual preference.
Corrosion-resistant balls and brass seating surfaces provide gall resistance and positive, chatter-free seating.
