Description
The Military 2 Orange G-10 CTS XHP Black Blade PlainEdge Exclusive was specially manufactured for Cutlery Shoppe (CutleryShoppe.com) and is only offered through their sales channels.
The first defining feature of this knife is its full-flat-ground blade, which is precision machined from Carpenter Technology Corporation’s premium CTS XHP blade steel. CTS XHP is an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium alloy that can be described as either a high-hardness 440C stainless steel or a corrosion-resistant D2 tool steel. As a blade material, it offers superior edge retention and surface finish, can be sharpened to a very fine edge, and is extremely resistant to corrosion. To make the blade of this knife even more distinctive, it features a black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.
In Cutlery Shoppe’s signature style, this knife also features high-visibility orange G-10 scales with a non-slip peel-ply texture. All other features of this knife are faithfully consistent with the Military 2 platform, including nested stainless steel liners, lightweight, open-backed construction, a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism, a four-position pocket clip, and a generously sized lanyard hole. To complement the blade’s DLC finish, the liners, clip, and all other handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
This Exclusive expression of the Military 2 is truly unique and destined to become a highly prized collector’s item.
