Description
Lincoln Frontier 500X (Kubota) Diesel Engine Welder K5350-2
The Lincoln Frontier 500X (Kubota) is an advanced 500 amp, multi-process diesel engine welder that features CrossLinc technology, and a specialized pipe welding mode. When welding in pipe mode, the Frontier 500X produces a classic DC arc for downhill pipe welding applications, reminiscent of Lincoln’s legendary SA-200 and SAE-300MP pipeline welders.
Built-in CrossLinc circuitry means that the Frontier 500X communicates with a Lincoln CrossLinc wire feeder or CrossLinc remote control directly through your welding leads. Full remote amperage and voltage control is achieved without the use of a separate remote-control cable. This completely eliminates the need to go back to the welding machine to make output amperage or voltage adjustments. Other advanced features include 7-inch digital user interface with memory recall, DC Pulsed TIG, and STT MIG (when paired with an OPTIONAL Activ8X Pipe wire feeder).
The Frontier 500X comes standard with stainless steel side panels and roof, to extend the life and durability of the welder. Six different welding modes allow you to quickly switch between stick, touch start DC TIG, MIG, flux-cored and carbon arc gouging. Best-in-class arc characteristics provide outstanding welding results, time after time.
The Frontier 500X produces up to 15,000 peak watts of single-phase AC auxiliary power AND up to 20,000 peak watts of three-phase AC auxiliary power. The Kubota V2403-CR-TE4-BG four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine is EPA Tier 4F compliant and produces 48.9 horsepower at 1,800 RPM. Auto Start/Stop feature saves fuel by shutting the engine down after a programmable period of welding inactivity. The engine automatically re-starts when the machine senses you are ready to strike a welding arc.

Features:
Designed and tested specifically for cellulosic root downhill pipe welding – The Pipe Mode produces the iconic, smooth DC Generator arc that has been loved by the cross-country pipe industry.
Optimized to produce a smooth DC-style arc
Designed and field-tested by pipeline welders
DigFX Technology allows users to dial in the arc for ideal puddle control
Consistent arc performance from root-to-cap
Dynamic shorting response allows machine to automatically adjust output to overcome shorts from pipe variability for more puddle control and less spatter
Offers up to 525 amps (IEC rated at 500 amps) of welding current to tackle numerous welding and carbon arc gouging applications.
Includes six optimized CC and CV modes, plus advanced modes to support pulsed TIG, pulsed MIG, STT, and mechanized equipment.
Provides up to 20 kW of continuous three-phase power to run industrial tools such as plasma cutters, pumps, or inverter welders.
Provides up to 12 kW of continuous single-phase power to run tools and lights.
Bright, durable 7 in. digital user interface for unmatched machine control.
Save and recall memories, receive maintenance reminders, and enable PIN authorization.
Allows communication through a standard weld cable to enable remote voltage or current control at the arc, without a control cable. CrossLinc improves safety, quality, and productivity – with fewer trips to the power source.
Built-in True Voltage Technology (TVT) compensates for voltage drop to further improve operations.
Weld longer with a class-leading 20 US gal. (75.7 L) fuel tank and integrated Auto-Stop/Start feature, designed to prevent excessive idling to help save on fuel costs, avoid unnecessary engine wear, and extend time between required maintenance.
Powered by a 48.9 hp turbocharged Kubota diesel engine to provide extremely smooth and powerful operation while meeting EPA Tier 4 Final compliance.
Engineered tough to withstand harsh conditions and backed by trusted industry support and 3-year warranty.
