Developed in close cooperation with Crucible Industries, CPM SPY27 is a particle metallurgy stainless steel containing a proprietary mix of alloys, including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. This advanced formula, enhanced by the amplifying effects of cobalt and the state-of-the-art Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, is produced exclusively for Spyderco. The full-flat-ground blade of this Manix 2 Lightweight takes full advantage of CPM SPY27s properties to deliver exceptional cutting performance. It is supported by a high-strength Ball-Bearing Lock mechanism housed within an ultra-lightweight fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer (FRCP) handle. Injection molded in a distinctive mineral blueone of the signature colors of our CPM SPY27 familythe handle features a non-slip Bi-Directional Texture pattern and a wire clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
